If you're feeling a bit lonely or just want a test dummy, try playing Catacomb Kids with a friend! There are two types of multiplayer modes in Catacomb Kids:

Versus[]

Versus has been in the game since the beginning. Each player has to pick out a randomly generated Kid, then choose three spells/traits for themselves. Afterwards, the players has to choose a battle arena to play on. The first player to kill the other three times win!

There are 7 maps in versus mode:

A 1-minute timer can be seen at the top center of the screen. Once this timer reaches 0, red arenas will appear on both sides of the map and slowly move in 1 block per second. These red zones will not deal damage, but will instead increase the amount of damage dealt when within them (needs verification). Once the two red areas meet, the round will end and both players will draw.

When a potion is spawned on a map, it will always be recognized. Additionally, these potions cannot be broken by throwing it against a surface and seems to be less affected by gravity than potions found in the Catacombs.

Co-op[]

Co-op was implemented in the 0.0.16 update. When playing in co-op mode, two players are able to play as separate Kids in the catacombs. Unlike Versus, these Kids cannot hurt each other and will have to work together to navigate the catacombs.

Each floor will still be generated normally, which means only one Orb of Leveling will spawn on each floor, enemies have the same amount of health, etc.

When players get too far away from each other, the display will enter a circle-like split-screen setup. These circles will get smaller the further away the two players go, thus forcing the two players to stick together. When the players come closer, the screen will return to its original state.

Trivia[]

  • The statues, seen in the Versus maps, might each resemble one of the 4 heroes, mentioned in the storyline, whilst the grave on Slime might belong to the 5th forgotten one.
